Three of us ate lunch at Fratelli. Prices are affordable with mains for less than $20 and some specials for $15. I chose the chicken and mushroom risotto, which was supped to be a $15 special, so I was annoyed to find (too late!) that the docket showed I'd been charged $17. Flavoiurs were good but there was a lot... More

Was a very cold morning so the restaurant needed a bit more heat. Having said that the service was warm and friendly. The food was great, had Spanish styled eggs and great coffee. They do need more heaters!

Efficient service in a relaxed atmosphere, great breakfast and especially good coffee. The owner George is very helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

I ordered a coffee and as I handed the girl my money, she started at me with 'Just a bit of advice, if you want to achieve this with your make-up, you really should do this' and started giving me an unwanted make-up lesson in the cafe! I wanted a latte not bloody advice from a cashier on how I... More

Came in for lunch at about 1.30 and we were the only people besides tables finishing up. We had our drinks order taken and the the meal order was not far behind. It then took over 30 minutes for the lunch to arrive. That would be OK if it tasted nice. The steak tasted as though it might have been... More

Coffee and bacon & egg rolls for breaky - very impressed. Food was very nice, coffee met their "best in south Melbourne" claim, service was fantastic, all in a peaceful environment. Thanks.

Their poster claims they are make the best coffee in South Melbourne - quite a bold statement to make. We had it and it is quite true. Nice strong coffee with good crema - not a bad price of $3.50 each. Breakfast was great - poached eggs perfectly cooked. Yummy wholesome big mushrooms too. Up there with the prices starting... More

I've had breakfast here on Sunday a couple of times now (mostly because I park in the wrong spot). It is not overly busy, but at 8:00am on a Sunday in South Melbourne not much is. The service is quite attentive and the staff are very polite. The food is always of a good standard. I know Melbournian's are interested... More

Brunch visit. Both of us had pancakes. Mine was vaguely lukewarm, partners was cold. If you've ever eaten cold pancakes, you'll understand why we won't return. $10ea for lousy food. not happy Jan. Service fine. Atmosphere really nice.
