Visited this pub while day cruising on the broads. Arrived around 2pm for a late lunch, and had a very friendly welcome. A proper old pub with the usual pub staples done extremely well. Great ales, the pie and burgers are recommended and the onion...rings were amazing! Helpful in providing a highchair and flexible in making a more basic mac and cheese than the menu for our 1 year old. Stunning location, and lovely food, with spotless toilets. Well worth the short walk from the river.More

We had a boat for the weekend and moored up at neatishead for the night. We were told about this pub previously do we booked 8 of us in for a evening meal at 6.45pm. We put our drinks order in, but asked specifically for...no ice, but we got it.. and plenty of it too, but not a huge problem. We ordered 2 garlic "breads" and a onion rings for starters, these are full size garlic and cheese pizzas, that came out WITH the mains, and the onion rings are the worst ive ever tried, we ate 2 between the 8 of us. I had chicken and ham hock pie with mash, veg and gravy and tbh i cant fault that at all. 2 others had a southern fried chicken burger which again cant be faulted. 4 had the beef borgounion ( however its spelled ) and all 4 left it, the beef was terrible. The staff did give us 10% off so that was some way of apologising. Staff are friendly. Prices are steady. Beer was good. Just the beef and the fact the breads were pizzas that came with mains... As for the onion rings.. take them off the menu if ur serving them like that.. they were more like churros than onion rings.More

Poor quality food and argumentative, patronising staff. Told to order two kids meals for our two young daughters when one would have been plenty. Their chicken was too spicy to eat and both that and its eventual replacement was of poor quality. The attitude of...the staff was really bad, summed up by a very insincere sounding ‘take care’ through gritted teeth that may have well have been ‘bugger off’! ZERO. Customer service skills. AVOID AVOID AVOID!More

The White Horse is clearly a well regarded pub-turned-restaurant. They know how to prepare an enticing menu with thoughtfully planned food which is home made. We enjoyed a weekday evening meal. Our daughters enjoohome made pizza which was very generous, and we enjoyed the steak...and Stilton pie and mushroom gnocchi. Service is excellent and attentive, the atmosphere is lovely. We will definitely visit again.More

From the outside this seemed to be a quiet Broadland pub. Inside, you are exposed to loud grungy music, with lyrics totally unsuited to the many children in the place. I don't know who chose the music, though thinking about it no choice was involved,...I think one of the young waitresses downloaded something off their phones. The place became very noisy and the "music" could not be heard anyway. Regarding the food, perhaps we should have rung ahead to see what was on offer on Sunday lunchtime. We expected a roast to be on the menu, but when that was not available at least expected the the food on offer to be properly cooked. I'm not a professional chef but do know that sea bass should be not be overcooked and that potatoes should be thoroughly mashed and seasoned. Sorry but will will not be returning.More

We have just visited The White Horse Inn, there were 4 of us and 2 dogs. From the moment we arrived the service was great. As we had the dogs we ate in the bar area, this was very warm and welcoming. They gave us...water and treats for our dogs which was nice. All the food we ordered was lovely, there was a good selection of food on their evening menu. I would visit this pub again when in the area, and would also recommend it to anyone visiting this part of Norfolk.More

Reserved a table for five adults for lunch as was recommended to this pub. We arrived, checked in and shown to table. Waited 15 minutes and no one came to take our drinks order. After approaching a member of staff they eventually asked what we...wanted to drink. Another 10 to 15 minutes later they arrived and we immediately gave our food order. A minimum of 20 minutes before anything arrived, just sorry that it was not worth waiting for. The scampi was not very good quality and the chips were cheap, frozen ones, not genuine fresh potatoes. The steak sandwich was inedible, very tough, overcooked and with a lot of fat. It was sent back and a plate of chips came “on the house”!! All five meals were disappointing, the ordering chaotic and long waiting times to get anything. There seemed no one was in charge, they were understaffed and the standard overall very unprofessional and certainly disappointing! Will not be returning.More
