The two daughters are very pretty but the food is only just OK . I had the pasta Carbonara and vegetables which were not what I expected , very thin and done in the oven not olive oil as I expected! Would not go again

What a nice surprise. For sure the best gnocchi ever! The rest of our party had pizzas and the mixed salad. All deliciously prepared! Service was good, nice ambience on the terrace, nice food and good company. Perfect!

Really not very good at all. Pizza dough was rock hard. My wild boar pasta dish was dry with hard pieces of meat. There are lots of good restaurants in Lucignano but this isn't one of them

One of the most boring meals ever in Italy...and really unexpectedly bad for Tuscany. The salads were good, the pasta's were fair, but the pizza was the worst we've ever had in our several trips to Italy. The toppings, the cheese....not good. The crust? Horrible. Service was also rather spotty. Not a very good start to our first night in... More

Excellent family run restaurant. Lovely food. Excellent steak. Lovely Italian atmosphere with a beautiful mural along one wall. We were treated like royalty. Excellent wine list with a delightful house red.

This restaurant was recommend by another restaurateur on a Tuesday lunchtime when his place was closed. We were welcomed in and fed well and not very expensive either, the mixed cake dessert was a delight.

The pizza was terrible. Do not order pizza here. It tasted like refrigerator dough (did not taste completly done) with red sauce poured on it with no flavoring or spice at all. The prosciutto looked and tasted like bad deli lunch meat laid in slabs on top of the tasteless red sauce. The others in our party had pasta and... More

We have eaten at this restaurant many times, and always found it excellent. The husband and wife who run it, Fabrizio and Francesca, are always welcoming. We have never had a poor meal here, and they are always very hospitable to all the guests and visitors whom we bring. I do wish that visitors would understand that many Italian restaurants... More

We were looking to add to our Tuscan experience by seeing and learning some of the secrets behind the fabulous food we have enjoyed during our stay. We had enjoyed our previous dining experiences at La Maggiolata and so were delighted when La Maggiolata was recommended to us to arrange a half day cooking class experience. We contacted our hosts... More
