A great pub serving real ales, real cider and other wine & beer. 500 year old half timbered - but modernised beautifully - and very picturesque inside and out, with very friendly (& efficient!) Landlady & Landlord. Nice food too - perfect portion sizes... not the usual "quantity over quality"!!

We were made very welcome despite the staff being busy with a large group which had just arrived for lunch. Both members of staff apologised and explained that there would be a delay with the food. It was so worth the wait! The seafood pot au feu was utterly delicious. The main bar, snug and restaurant all look very comfortable... More

We visited as a family group with a combination of vegetarians and meat eaters. The portions (especially of the risotto) were miserly. The sides accompanying the steak were also sparse. The triple cooked chips were limp and some were black and had to be sent back to be replaced by normal chips, which were much better. Most in our party... More

Went for a special birthday lunch today and sat by the cosy fire. The food was absolutely delicious. The pub is a classic old English style with low beams and wooden trimmings, a great place to just drift off and lose some time in a relaxing way. I had asparagus with wild mushrooms, followed by vegetarian bubble and squeak with... More

We went to The Swan for Mother's Day and what a treat it was! I was expecting the day to mean service would be a little over run but instead we got a warm welcome, beautiful tasting and presented food and a lovely atmosphere. All our meals were delicious and it's clearly a place that takes real pride in serving... More

I'd booked a table as friends were coming over, and the 5 of us went here for lunch. The food is usually to a high standard and reasonably priced in my opinion. This time we all found the home cooked food exceptional for our wide variety of tastes. One of my friends is vegetarian and she commented that she thought... More

Second visit with a family member who lives locally which didn't disappoint. Warm and friendly service from the Landlady, delicious home cooked Sunday roast and a lovely village setting. Thoroughly enjoyed by all four of us.

Having played cricket here in 2015 on the green across from The Swan, I wanted somewhere new for a good evening meal. This pub is traditional looking from outside and spacious and inviting inside too. Plenty of room with an expansion area for diners, we found a nice table near to the large open fire. Although there were only about... More

The Swan is an attractive traditional pub located at Ley Hill between Chesham and Bovingdon. It's low beamed welcoming bar has plenty of seating including a small restaurant area serving a good menu range of hot and cold meals. For fine weather days there is also a pleasant seated garden at the rear. The Swan has parking on its frontage... More
