Super slow service and unapologetic staff. The kind of place that can only exist when there's no competition.

Took a drive from Taupo to the national Park Station. Cafe was lovely. Friendly staff nice and warm inside and the food was all homemade. Reasonably priced as well.

Top shelf eye fillet presented beautifully and a great portion too. Surpassed expectations. Always need to book here as they are always busy. Never ceases to amaze how many 'walk ups' can't get a table when we are there. My wife had sirloin which she loved, very tender and cooked m/r, just perfect. The team are friendly welcoming and the... More

Can't praise this place enough. Delicious food. Welcoming host. We enjoyed our first meal so much we immediately booked for the next night. A very comfortable place to be. Go there if you can!

We turned up at this restaurant at peak Sunday evening time, they found us a cozy table and offered up their roast meal of the day. Both of us had far more succulent meat than we are used to eating- and no dog to give the extra to! All served hot and in record time. We will be back.

We waited about 2 hours for food, then it was tepid and overlooked. The pork was tough; steak that was ordered med. rare was well done. I watched my dinner hang out under a hot lamp for too long, then it was scarcely warm when it got to me. After my husband paid, I let the chef and server know,... More

We made reservations for dinner around 3:00 pm after finishing the Crossing. Dinner was a good way to end the day. We had chicken and lamb with cheesecake and coffee with ice cream for dessert. Not the most delicious meal we had while in New Zealand but satisfying nonetheless.

Stopped here for lunch and had a bowl of excellent soup. Went back again and had dinner - a side salad which I would rate as just okay and then the lamb which was very good. Only complaint I have is that the lamb was swamped with gravy so I suggest getting that on the side. On the whole, all... More

It was our second time to have dinner here and our party of 4 all chose the fillet steak. The challenge for us was to see if all 4 steak came out the way we ordered from Blue , medium rare and medium. Well we were impressed. They was all perfect. Will certainly return again.
