We stopped here and ate in the Bothy Bar, quite old fashioned place, curious display on the way in and in need of some TLC all round. Most things on the menu were quite pricey considering the standard of the place, the barman seemed quite unfriendly and seemed to have a moan every time someone ordered tea or coffee

Portions of food far to big , more finesse required when plating up , the haggis dish I had was definitely microwaved and just piled on to plate, had it been presented in a haggis tower you would have got two main course portions out of the amount I had on my plate think of your profit Chef no sence... Food was according to the price. Substantial traditional fare. Service was ok. A good place to stop for a quick pub meal if expectations are not too high. A perfect location to escape the rain with a pint whilst waiting for the train.

Ate in the bothy bar. Words like quaint or traditional spring to mind, or maybe twee. Decent menu. Rustic (shabby) decor. Needs some tlc I think it's fair to say. Food was ok. Prices ok. Decent range of ale and lager at the bar. Service decent and food prepared quickly enough. Entrance to the car park next to station is... More

Stopped on Sunday with some special friends visiting Scotland for the week, despite the sign saying food served from 1pm - 9 pm we were told they had been very busy so the staff were having a break and if we waited 45 min, we would be served. We decided to wait, but did think we would get drinks sooner,... More

Ate here in the pub on 2 nights when staying locally. Fish & chips delicious, good portion size thoroughly enjoyable - worth the money. Unfortunately 2nd time we had the home made macaroni cheese. Tasted nasty, sauce watery - weird colour and not like anything I've ever had had anywhere else. It was like how I thought the boxes of... More

We ate here a couple of times and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Good food, reasonable price and welcoming staff.

Stayed several times in this hotel. Always had good experiences. Even stayed once for 10 days on Hogmanay period. Was fun. Good food. Cosy lounge with log fire, perfect in winter time.Helpful staff.
