We always stop at The Chestnut on our way to Norfolk. We find the cafe warm and welcoming on every visit. Always friendly staff. The coffee is always hot. Good scones, cakes and sandwiches. A good choice of hot meals available.

Dropped in for lunch (in pleasant conservatory). Easy parking off very busy road. Helpful & attentive staff and hearty plates of food & pudds. I've marked it Average but was tending towards Very Good. It does not pretend to be "fine dining" - but serves good & simple food.

Having visited before for tea and cake... we saw the Christmas special menu and said that we would come back for it... and that is exactly what we did today. Have to say that three courses and a cuppa for 18.95 was great value and the food was excellent and served by lovely staff... we will be back!

We planned to visit for lunch on our way between King's Lynn and Grantham. As we were running late, we were delighted when the friendly waitress alerted the kitchen to hold on for a few minutes so we could select from the homemade hot lunch menu. We chose a hot lunch of steak and ale pie, a yummy warming filling... More

In the midst of an array of American style venues is this very English tea room. It has the reassuranly cosy character of the traditional tea room. Good cup of tea and scone. Slightly sleepy atmosphere. Service fair.

Returning from a weeks holiday in Norfolk we stopped off at this tearoom (part of a garden centre) for a refreshment break. Located on the A47 it was one of a few we passed however one of the factors I look at when choosing somewhere to dine is how busy is it? On this occasion the answer was obvious, almost... More

En route to a holiday week in Norfolk, enjoyed a late light lunch at this café (in a garden centre). Staff were friendly, enjoyed two home made soups and excellent bread, but disappointed with the milk shakes which were of the instant variety. This café is well located for a snack when travelling to/from the north Norfolk Coast and you... More
