The restaurant is located in la Garrotxa, a Volcanic zone in the heart of Catalonia. The restaurant is an old farm house completly refurbished with best facilities and keeping the rural atmosfere. We got dinner there in a private room. The light is perfect making feel you really isolate. The dishes combine local food with nouvelle cuisine. Fish, meet mushrooms... More

Three times here. The first time, many years ago, we stopped by accident as we were late in the middle of a summer storm. They received us with a glass of cava/champagne, love at first sight... "Rovellons de botó"/wild mushrooms, makes me cry, surprise, taste and presentation. Pigeon rice, cockle can, nitrogen dessert,... Try to remain in the area for... More

This is not the place to just have a meal but to go on a "journey" that triggers all your senses. A lot of the dishes carry originality and finesse. We recommend to take the menu together with the wines: all local specialities worth discovering. The staff is dedicated, friendly and multilingual. The atmosfeer is quite dark and they also... More

We went in June 2014 for a special occasion, and had a great time. A veritable temple of sophisticated 'experimental' food. The owner and waitresses were out to make sure we had an exceptional culinary experience, and they succeeded. I'm vegetarian (but very occasionally eat fish) and they even managed to adapt a complex menu just for me. The whole... More

They are in their fifth generation, and in very good shape. Great tasting menu with local specialties upgraded to sofisticated and modern concepts. Congrats Joan and family!

The name of this restaurant is Cal'enric as in the photograph. We went there for dinner and enjoyed a wonderful meal, great wine and excellent service. The restaurant has been operated by the same family for a number of generations and is a must for travellers interested in a high quality dining experience. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is at the end of a village and benefits from plenty of space - it looks to be a complete rebuild of a farmhouse. We took Sunday lunch that started with drinks outside and an endless stream of nibbles, much of it with rather gimmicky presentation. The 60€ menu allows the choice of 3 dishes plus dessert from...
