We have eaten here a few times before and always been pleased by the monthly menu choice, food quality, service, table settings and overall decent value. Last week was different. My lamb rack comprised three unrelated overcooked stringy chops, my wife's pie that she had checked was top crust only was a stodgy tasteless full pastry casing and our guest... More

It is with regret we hear you didn't enjoy your meal with us. Please be assured it is a small family run business so although the chefs or the front of house staff or supervisors haven't changed we will look into the training of all our waiting staff. It is a shame none of the above comments where made during... More

Visited for my mother's 80th birthday. Lunch time and only two other guests dining. Waitress was very friendly. Bread rolls looked cheap, no butter just a pot of oil/balsamic vinegar. Chicken liver pate was not smooth and was served with just two tiny pieces of melba toast. Salmon main was ungenerous. I asked for salad instead of vegetables and I... More

I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your lunch with us. We wish we had been aware of some of these points during your lunch as it could have been easily rectified rather than it spoil your celebration We feel we offer value for money as lunch is priced at £13.50 for 2 courses which also includes complimentary bread, amuse... Had an excellent meal and service. I use mckees fairly regularly and always have a lovely meal but it was the first visit for my guests. They were very impressed with the service and thought the food was excellent. Highly recommend them. Excellent value for money.

I love love love this restaurant! Whenever we go to the NEC we go here for dinner! It never disappoints - always quick and polite device and the food has always been faultless

My girl friend and I enjoyed a lovely Valentines five course evening meal at McKees Brasserie. The meal was preceded by canapes with a glass of Fellini. We chose a prawn, salmon and crayfish starter, pea and chive soup, Lamb shank for main course, and ice cream for dessert followed by tea or coffee. The food was very good as was the service

Terrible service for a valentines night meal. Kept waiting for virtually every course, and wasn't just us, other tables in the conservatory were waiting just as long, one table didn't even get their wine that they'd ordered despite reminding staff twice. Took 2 attempts for us to get a jug of water, and again 2 attempts to get a bottle... More

Disappointed to hear you didn't enjoy your Valentines meal. We usually suggest it takes 2.50-3 hours for a 5 course meal, taking into account on Valentines day we offered an arrival drink, canapés, starter, soup course, main course and dessert. We will take you comments on board but please be assured we very much care as it is a small... More

Returning for a second visit after we had poor deserts in December. Started ok. Then a large party arrived and we were forgotten. Chicken pie obviously microwaved Vegetables cold Desserts .... well disgusting. Panacota with vile gelatine in it. And a crumble which was fruit with crushed biscuits on the top. Certainly not my idea of crumble. A pale milky... More

Disappointed to hear you didn't like your meals on a second occasion even with complimentary desserts which is very unusual, but please be assured our dishes are all freshly cooked on site but maybe not to your taste. More

Visited quite a few times. The theme nights are brilliant. The French evening was particularly good. Food of a high standard with nice touches such as complimentary canapés and drink on arrival. Staff also excellent. Looking forward to the Greek evening on the 9 th February.

Visited recently and had the December set menu. Food was delicious and service was outstanding, our waitress was fantastic and all the staff were very accommodating, prices were very reasonable too. My only 'but' was that I felt like the portions were a bit on the small side? I had the salmon main and my husband had the turkey -... More
