Great spot to relax with friends. We popped in randomly over Easter after they had clearly had a big day, you could see that it was a stretch to accommodate us but they made us feel welcome and even brought us platters after the kitchen was meant to be closed. I really appreciate all the effort they went to when... More

Easter Sunday lunch and just as well we booked months ago as many turned away. Bottle of the White Caps Chardonnay to start while checking out the menu was very drinkable. Good service and pleasant setting we started with the crab sliders - very nice. We followed with the scallops with blackball black pudding (could have done that a second... More

We were seated among the autumn grape vines with dappled sunlight warming our backs just away from the main restaurant seating. Quite a large group being 13 of us. Everyone keen to catch up, the staff were courteous, obliging and very helpful. I would like to especially mention a young chap by the name of Joshua Hughes. He did himself... More

They loved sharing their wine knowledge with us during our tasting. They're the last stop on biking wine tours, kind of being at the end of the trail, but i would say one of the best we stopped at. Large portfolio of wines, maybe too many, but there were definitely some hits in there.

Our friends from Hawks Bay took us to Clearview for a wine tasting during our six weeks touring NZ. Memorable for the wines and lunch both of which would have graced a 5 star restaurant here in the UK. Happy friendly staff and knowledgeable lady pouring the tastings. A little expensive but well worth the cost.

This was a return visit for us having had dinner here once before. The menu was really good and we ended up having the cheese platter, antipasto platter, duck fat fries and chips with aioli (there were four of us!). It was lovely - not too heavy - beautiful flavours and we all loved it. The staff were really attentive... More

Highly recommend this Winery and Restaurant. Wines were really lovely and there red dessert wine was superb. Super busy and great atmosphere. Lunch was lovely, started off with their homemade bread which is rather addictive. Food was really good and we enjoyed our experience here.

We didn't actually eat here, just indulged in some wine tasting. From the start our hostess was attentive and entertaining, we tasted several wines at no cost, unlike most other wineries who tend to charge. Relaxed rustic surroundings, and very nice wines, this was probably the high light of our 5 day cycling trip. Highly recommend it.

I did a wine tasting here and tasted near on 20 wines. Thank goodness for spittoons! Honestly, it was a pleasure getting to taste and compare so many top notch wines. The venue is gorgeous and absolutely worth a visit.
