International Layover

Wondering if someone might be able to help please...

Our return flight from Bali to Melbourne stops in Cairns (Arrive: 7:40am Depart: 6:30pm).

Can we leave the International Area of the airport or will out flight continue through International to Melbourne?

Hope this makes sense, thanks :-)

You must leave the international area as you will go through customs and immigration in Cairns.

Which airline are you flying and what flight number?

I have had a stop in Cairns before on an international flight. In my case I stayed in international transit in Cairns before ithe flight continued to Brisbane.

That is 11hr layover, so yes, you will leave international. You could then travel into town for the day and come back later to the domestic terminal

Yes you will clear all formalities in Cairns , you then have a very long time in Cairns so head into town or if interested some sightseeing.

You don't want to be taking your baggage around though.
