Alternatively AFAIK Etihad collect it at the airport (as do lots of other airlines)..... it certainly doesn’t rate a mention on the Etihad website.

jcrDublin. Yes, all flights arriving or departing the UK require it, including those arriving from or departing to Ireland.

It will have to be done online if you want to check in online. If you're checking in at the airport it can be taken then but it's better if it's done beforehand.

I am aware that Ireland isn't part of the UK. #1 stated that all flights to/from the UK need API, I was simply asking if that included flights to/from Ireland and the UK, given that there is a special arrangement between the two countries, a common travel area.
