What time to see the fishing boats?

Can anyone advise what time we would need to be around to see all the fishing boats in the water? Can't seem to find it online and don't want to miss them as only in mui ne a couple of days

Thanks!:)

As the fleet works at night then the anchorages will be full anytime after sunrise. If you are coming to Mui Ne from HCMC then you will travel through Phan Thiet the principle city in that Provence. You will wind through Phan Thiet where there are various anchorages alongside the roadside.

The view of the fleet working at night is a great view as well, anywhere along the coast from Phu Hai to Mui Ne.

Hi. You should visit this place from 5:45am - 7am. lovely sunrise and also keep away from bus tours.

Could you recommend a location that we could tell a taxi driver? As we took a jeep tour this morning which included the "fishing village" and even though we had specifically checked if there would be lots of boats, there were only two or three that we could see "/ probably got there around 7.15am, we were very disappointed so are trying to see if we could fit in another attempt to see the boats before we leave tomorrow

Many thanks for you help!:)

It may well be that the fleet is on the other side of the Mui Ne peninsula due to the SW monsoon at this time of year.

I suggest you ask your Hotel to see whether this is so. Very strange as the weather is not against them which would sometimes require them to go into Phan Thiet . Can you see lights at sea at night ?

From late May to early October, the fishing boats dock on the east side of the cape (Ganh Beach). As Ross indicated, it is because of the winds that come from the south that time of the year. They arrive at sunrise and the families gather at the beach to unload and separate all the fish. All of this activity takes place on the western side of the cape, where the town of Mui Ne is located, between mid October and mid May.

Thank you for your help! We managed to see the boats yesterday evening by catching the bus into mui ne and walking to beach infront of the sailing bay resort where we found loads of boats which was fantastic! Really made our trip :)
