Tell me about San Miguel :)

How far south of Samara is San Miguel? Is the town on the beach? Is there much of a town at all?

Tell me about the place!

Thanks!

Hello ..... March will be hot and dry, like everywhere in the Guanacaste area,

Playa San Miguel, is very " tranquilo " , no crowds, some times ... good waves, perfect for long walks on the beach and great fishing from the shore.

No to many options of hotels, just check reviews and pictures .....

If looking for a place to relax ... Playa San Miguel is a good option.

Pura Vida ...

What kind of fishing set-up do you use from shore? How about bait?

San Miguel is a hidden gem, off the beaten path and perfect for those looking to experience a part of Costa Rica that has yet to be infected with traffic, technology, high rise hotels, crowds, loud music, fast motorcycles, US chain fast food joints, dusty roads, beach front communities that look the same and everything else the foreign invasion and real estate booms brought to Costa Rica. Two hotels are currently for sale but Cristal Azul and Laguna Mar are open almost year round. Cristal Azul owned and operated by a Tico/US expat couple (they also own LocosCocos on the beach) and Laguna Mar owned by a couple from Europe and run by locals from the town of Javilla. The surrounding town of Playa Coyote, San Francisco de Coyote and Pueblo Nuevo also have places to eat and enjoy local and international cuisine!
