tokyo for 2 weeks

Will be going to Tokyo alone for 2 weeks staying in Shinjuku. Will want to visit Osaka for a day, mt Fuji, Disneyland and explore Tokyo eg Akihabara, Shibyua and other places. Will it be worth getting a JR pass or will it be cheaper to by individual train passes on the day?

With 2 weeks, you could see a lot more of Japan than Tokyo. I suggest you check Japan Guide and add some more places to your itinerary. Kyoto is definitely worth a visit.

If you stick to your current itinerary and just go to Osaka, then this package is cheaper than buying a JR Pass.

Why Osaka for a day? For universal studio? Just to stay for the day is a bit strange if I'm honest. In two weeks you can see a lot more - sure Tokyo has enough to occupy you if you want, but at least visit Kyoto for 2-3 nights (or more) while you are down that way. Unless you hate shrines and stuff, which perhaps you do (I know a few people who pass out from boredom...)
