Eating out with a toddler.

Hi, we are traveling soon with our 2 year old Granddaughter, and wondered what’s the best child friendly place to eat out. Thanks In Advance 😊

We’ve been bringing our five year old grandson here since he was a baby. Whereabouts In Olhos are you staying, and SC or hotel? Will you have a car?

Olhos is small and friendly, and very laid back atmosphere. We are here now.

Just about everywhere is child friendly if the child is well behaved and you don't put their tablet volume up so everyone else has to hear it.

Hi, we will be staying at the Falesia Mar and will be hiring a car. I just thought it would be good if there was somewhere where I wouldn’t be on tenderhooks, and able to relax a bit 😊

Have a wonderful week🏖

Falesia Mar is only a five minute walk from the main body of restaurants, and like Algarveaddict says, almost all the restaurants are friendly and welcoming.

If you like Chinese food, then the Chef Peking is really good. It does get quite full in peak season (if that is when you are here), but most of the restaurants are the same. The restaurant is at the top of the beach road up some stairs over the Oasis club. The main staircase is quite steep, but there is a side entrance just by the Oasis patio which is easier to negotiate. Margarita (front of house) is one of the most personable people you’ll meet and is wonderful with children, our grandson loves her.

If you want somewhere with a playground, then A Lagosteira (about a twenty minute stroll away in Acoteias) is ideal. Large indoor area and a patio outside with a playground.

S Martinos (Italian) nice staff and good food, and other favourites of ours are O Manuel, Calheiros, Cabana and Symbiosis Cocktail bars. Just outside Olhos leading down to Lagosteira are some lovely restaurants, most of which we have taken our little one too.

Down at the beach is nice, but quite busy, so our bag of toys which we carry always proves handy to occupy the little one without the need to rely on iPads or phones for entertainment.
