Grenoble to Chamrousse

Going to Chamrousse in Jan '11, at the moment have no idea how to get there from Grenoble airport really.

I know that there is a bus you can get from the Bus Station. What I want to know is that when and where the bus leaves from? How much does it cost? Is it easy to get on the way back? How do I get to this bus from Grenoble Airport?

Thanks

All the info you need is on the airport's website grenoble-airport.com/-Scheduled-coach-transf… Its a small airport so you'll easily find the coach to the central bus station (gare routiere in French). You then take the Trans Isere bus up to the resort, same in reverse. Timetables and costs on that website.

Our flights have now been changed and we cannot get on the bus to chamrousse.

What other options are there for a reasonable price? how much does a taxi cost at the airport? Is anyone else going who would consider sharing a transfer?

You could get the bus to Grenoble train/bus station for €12.50 and then take a private transfer - this was the one of the first companies that came up by googling 'Grenoble to Chamrousse transfer' http://www.taxi-alp-horizon.com/prices.html who say its only 60 Euros from the train station to resort - of course you'd need to have them confirm that.

You should also post on a dedicated ski forum such as http://snowheads.com/ski-forum/ for more specialist advice and where people may be looking to share a taxi etc.
