New Years Eve question

We will be in Pensacola Beach on New Years Eve. We will be staying at the Spring Hill Suites for just the one night as we are on our way to Fort Walton and then PCB for a week. It will be my husband and I, our 3 kids, and our daughters boyfriend. How crazy busy does Pensacola Beach get during this time? We stayed one night in Pensacola Beach this spring break at the Hilton and the crowds were quite large. I'm wondering if it's going to be like that or worse? When we were down there then is was just 4 of us as our oldests college spring break didn't line up the our younger kids high school break. We hope to walk down to Flounders for dinner, then come back to the hotel to swim before we head down for fireworks.

We aren't big into crowds so I'm just wondering what we are getting into. Is it going to be a challenge to get a table? Any advice? Thanks!

Yes, it'll be busy & crowded. It's a holiday weekend, so double whammy. Plan to wait at all restaurants - we hate Flounders :-) If the Happy Joe's has opened in Navarre (on route 98, not at the beach), see if they'll deliver to you & avoid that hassle. Their specialty pizzas are awesome.

Your only hope for less people will be lousy weather. Last year there were multiple fireworks displays. Quietwater Boardwalk isn't the place to be if you're not into crowds.

We ate at Flounders this spring and our food was excellent and the sushi was perfect. Thank you for the response. This way we can prepare ourselves for crowds. We will also do an early dinner late lunch with plans to order in pizza that night. Especially if we are going to be up late for fireworks. I asked as by us the bars may get a little busier on NYE, but nothing much. So I wasn't sure what the crowds would look like there.

Thanks again!

You might try watching from the parking lot at Red Fish Blue Fish (we hate this one, too, haha!) instead of going to the boardwalk. It seems like you should be able to have a good view from the Casino Beach parking lot by the pier, maybe less crowded.

Good luck. We've only been there once for New Year's but was able to see everything from front & rear balconies without getting into the crowd.

Thanks for the information! We weren't thrilled with our dates but our daughter is between fall semester and her winter interim so our choices were limited.

And we are in PCB every year for spring break so we deal with the crowds but it seemed like Pensacola was a lot busier than PCB.

Thanks again!

We are considering getting married in Pensacola on New Year's Eve at the Park East Boardwalk. Hoping to not have people in the background/huge crowds surrounding us. For those who have been to Pensacola during this time of year and are familiar with this boardwalk, what are your thoughts?
