Fly into Punta Cana or Santo Domingo

Going to La Romana is it better to fly into Punta Cana or Santo Domingo? More flights into Punta Cana at better times and cheaper price. How long is the bus ride to Dreams La Romana from Punta Cana airport vs Santo Domingo. 8 people would thing getting a shuttle would not be a problem. What have others experienced?

First off, it's best to fly into La Romana if you can, LRM. With the new road, Punta Cana is faster so the true answer is use SDQ or PUJ, whichever is the best price. One of the shuttle companies, Dominican Shutlles or such can quote you on a transfer for 8 people.

Thanks, I agree but not a lot of flights into La Romana. Don't like the shuttles and Dominican Republic roads are bad. Do you how long the bus ride is from Punta Cana airport to Dreams La Romana?

take a taxi, its roughly $100 per taxi upto 4 people. They have minivans. PUJ or SDQ its about the same distance.

The ride is probably more scenic from PUJ. if you plan to visit the capitol, use SDQ.

The shuttle services charges per person, will come out more expensive, but all in one vehicle.

It takes about 35 - 40 minutes from PUJ and about 50 - 55 minutes from SDQ
