Can anyone advise on how much it costs for the wifi package and is it reliable?
Unless it has changed, you get free wifi in the main lobby for 1 hour per day per room.
The free wifi in the lobby of the Grand Bahia Bavaro, Punta Cana and Turquesa resorts is 24/7 per room for guests of any these 3 resorts.
The guests of the Grand Bahia Bavaro, the Grand Bahia Punta Cana and the Grand Bahia Turquesa resorts may purchase a premium wifi (faster download speed) from the guest services department at the following rates:
One hour $8 US
One day $15 US
One week $60 US
This will provide you wifi service anywhere throughout the entire resort complex – at the pools, guest rooms, beach, a la cartes, lobby – anywhere. After checking in and asking for this Premium Wifi service, you will be provided with a log on number. You can use up to 2 devices per room reservation at the same time.
Hope this does help.

From memory the WiFi is free all day...great information from post *2.
Hey Brooklin, wifi was one hour per day when I stayed at Bavaro (a few years back) so obviously things have improved which is great, however, this is from your post "Explanation of the Bahia...":
"These two resorts are basically a mirror image of each other - all guest rooms are identical - the guest room buildings are primarily 3 stories in height with a few next to the beach that are 2 stories in height – namely guest room buildings with the white numbers 1 to 5 and 20 to 24. They share all amenities including the pools - map black #15, green #7, yellow #7 and orange #6, jacuzzi pool orange #7 - both have free wifi in their main lobbies for 1 hour per day per room. There is free wifi in the main lobby for one hour per room per day along with hard wired computers for internet access for use by all guests for 15 minutes per day"
The change in the free main lobby wifi from i hour per day to 24/7 is a more recent change. I will be updating this portion of the posting you referred to once the completion of the Luxury Bahia Ambar Blue is completed later this year as it is a rather extensive task to do so in the interim.

No worries Brooklin. Understandable as it is quite the task to keep your post current and you do an amazing job at keeping everyone informed simply by answering questions. I did refer to your post for the info as on our last trip to Ambar, we had a Gobecon device so didn't use the resort wifi. It was still one hour per day when we visited Bavaro a couple of years earlier. Looking forward to the new and improved Bahia.
