What types of activities? Generally speaking, a full-day sightseeing tour will cost you around 80 euro, whether done on land by tour bus/car or by boat to visit nearby islands (like Ilet Caret). Half-day boat trips to Ilet Caret and other sand islands cost 35 euro. There's a ziplining park that costs 20 euro, for unlimited ziplining in the rainforest. There are some snorkeling trips for 15-30 euro (this includes the boat transfer and a couple of hours of snorkeling). Visiting beaches and waterfalls is free, but you need a car to get around. You can also try hitchhiking if you are not on a tight schedule. Hope that helps!

Hi! I will be visiting Guadeloupe the last week of October into November. I am so excited to explore the island! can you tell me the name of the zip line that you mentioned in the rainforest? I am looking for some outdoor activities to do during my stay. I am a huge nature/wildlife person so I'm sure I'll see some pretty cool animals in the rainforest.

The zipline place is called Le Tapeur and it is along the Route de Traversee across from the mammal park. It is a blast and there's a great restaurant with an amazing view on the grounds. Below are the links:

Thanks so much! I book marked both websites. Do you think it would be best to make a reservation? Do you also know if they speak strictly French at both places or if people know a little English? I'm trying to learn a little French to be on the safe side

Hi Amanda, I am not sure if you can reserve for the zipline or mammal park. We just show up and the zipline instruction is given in English and French in groups as people show up. But, you might want to reserve at the restaurant. It is called Étoile de Guadeloupe. Here is the TripAdvisor link: https:/… Parts (if not all) of the Route de Traversée are closed right now because of the hurricane, but perhaps it is accessible from Pointe-Noire. I would call all of them ahead of time to make sure they are both open and accessible.
