Pedestrian walkway?

Coming to Zi in 3 weeks. Have seen pedestrian walkway mentioned in different posts. Where is it located and is it like a 'boardwalk' like the ones we have at the Jersey Shore in NJ loaded with stands or just a good place for a stroll? Also saw mention of walking down to different restaurants on the beach. I am staying at the Tides. How far a walk would some of these restaurants be and do I use pesos, dollars or CC? Sorry for these stupid questions but haven't had vacation outside US in 35 years.

1. The actual pedestrian walk way starts Near the Brisas Del Mar hotel at La Madera beach......you can follow the concrete walk into town form there. You can get all the way to La Noria along this path.

It is not a level walk from The Tides to La Madera and it can't be done along the sandy beach because of an outcrop of rock in front of La cass Que Canta.

There are many restaurants along La Ropa from Gaviota on the far south end to Elvira's at the north end. All are good.some charge a few pesos for a chair or umbrella but if you are thee sitting for a while you will "eat/drink" the fee.

Distance are small along La Ropa the entire beach is only about 3/4 of a mile in length. Look around and go with what you see that piques your interest.

Many great restuarants in town too.............Really nothing bad here in Zihuatanejo.

Not a lot of places may take a C.C. so have your pesos ready (preferred coin of the realm)
