Would love to go to the Fantasy Land hotel but $300 a night or close too is rather insane....I heard ppl of getting some cheap deals but I can't find anything online....We normally stay at the Holiday Inn Express for $130 a night which is reasonable, close and has a small breakfast included and clean...Any suggestion? or ideas too this fantasy land?? lol God I wish I was rich!! LOL

When are you hoping to go? 300 a night seems a bit excessive, unless they add in packages such as waterpark passes etc.

I have seen midweek for $198 for a standard room. Other promos sometimes include two waterpark or Galaxyland passes; for example, not sure if this is still current: http://fantasylandhotel.com/rooms/promotions/family-playcation

Definitely it is convenient for the mall, especially in the winter, but after staying once I would not go back. We found it super busy with long waits for check in and the elevators, plus our room was showing its age.

Very rare for them to have specials on theme rooms that are $300 or less. We do Edmonton once a year for the mall and stopped staying at the fantasyland because it was really starting to feel like we were getting ripped off for what we paid. The theme rooms were a novel idea at first and last year we stayed at the igloo room and to me it felt very old and kind of dirty. Like others have said it gets very busy in the lobby and the last time we were fortunate enough to stay with a bunch of kids hockey teams so there was literally line ups to get up to the rooms. It's really convenient if you have really young kids because you never have to leave the mall but you pay a lot for that.

Stayed in a theme room one weekend and that was many years ago. Highly overrated. Would never do it again. In no way worth $300 per night. That hotel is old now and past it's "best before date".
