I believe I recently saw information on Chocolate shops in the Burlington area. Have I imagined this? Are there ice cream shops and wineries also?
The wineries are in the Niagara region.
Apparently they also have a Chocolate Trail:

Pretty sure they have ice-cream as well, but I think overall you are confusing Burlington with NOTL.
In Niagara on the Lake, there is Chocolate FX (actually in St.Davids not Old Town) and Rocky Mountain Chocolate (which also has locations in Niagara Falls, the Outlets at Niagara as well as Burlington)
It really depends on what you're looking for if you check the link which I found on a google search. Based on the map on the site they are staying pretty close to Burlington but I didn't look at the addresses of the businesses. Rocky Mountain is a chain store, similar to Purdy's and they have quite a few locations. It appears all kinds of tourist "trails" are being created, like butter tart.
Edited: 9 years agoBurlington has some very good local chocolatiers .......Walker's Chocolates has a couple of locations in Burlington, with branches in the surrounding towns of Oakville, and Hamilton...........Casteleyn Chocolatiers are a "one of" specialty shop located on Brant St, in downtown Burlington.........famous large chain stores who sell chocolates, such as Godiva Chocolatier, Purdy's and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, can be found in Burlington shopping malls....

A couple of blocks from Casteleyn Chocolatier, and on Lakeshore Rd, are two places that specialize in Ice Cream/Gelato.....again "one of" shops
RC's is an ice cream/hot dog/fries place with a 1950's jukebox theme, and down the street is Crema de Gelato - good gelato with an outdoor patio overlooking the lake/park .....
Chain shops like Dairy Queen, Baskin Robbins, etc and fro yo shops like Yogurtys, Menchies (I think) CC Swirls etc are found in Burlington too
