Hotels in Oshawa really busy!

Hi, we are travelling in July to visit family that live in Oshawa but all the hotels are really busy - can anyone suggest another area up to 20 mins drive away that we could look at? Or an apartment would be fab to accommodate 6

Thanks

Hi, we don't arrive until the 9th so I thought Canada day celebrations would be over by then?

I cannot think of any hotel in Oshawa that I would recommend. There are a number in nearby Whitby (Highway 401 and Brock or Garden Streets). or further away in Ajax.

The City of Oshawa is having a Pan Am game kickoff on July 10. Perhaps that's why you're having trouble finding rooms in Oshawa?

http://www.2013worldlacrosse.com/index.html Lacrosse Womans Capital Cup is in Oshawa (similar to Jr Olympics) starts 7/10 - buy a 3 day pass for 15.00 for 7/12-14 called Turtle weekend or something like that!
