I'm spending 3 weeks in Ottawa with a short side trip to Toronto. Can anyone recommend an economic way to use my iPhone. I'd like to be able to make local calls and to occasionally call an Uber

Thanks!

If your phone is unlock, you can pick up a local sim from Telus or 7-11 and sign up for a 30 day plan.

Telus has a 30 day plan with Data for $37 CDN.

7-Eleven sold their 6 Ottawa stores to Quickie in 2009, so don`t spend any time looking for one.
