Supermarkets near to the harbour

We are coming to stay in a self catering apartment overlooking the harbour next Saturday and wondered where the nearest supermarket was so that we can stock up when we get there. Can you also let me know if the harbour gets very noisy at night time.

Many thanks

Hi there.... There aren't any major supermarkets around the harbour... there is a grocers/corner shop up Torwood street... there is a Wilkinsons in the main town centre, about ten mins walk away up Fleet walk/Union street

If you're driving down, perhaps it would be best to call at Sainsburys on the willows shopping area... you'll have to drive past it on the A380 going into Torquay..

As for the harbourside, well, yes, there are loads of cafes and bars... most of the clubs are in that area as well... Weekends can get a bit loud, loads of stag/hen nights, midweek not so bad...

There is a very good Tesco Express walking distance from the from the Harbour. It's at the roundabout at Fleet Walk.

Yes it does get very noisy and lively hourbourside at night, especially at week-ends.

Hope this helps.
