Hi just to check if it is convenient for me to take a train or coach from Manchester Airport to Liverpool city if I am travelling with luggage bags. Thanks.

Greenbank - do you mean Greenbank Park in the south of the city where the university halls are?
Anyway, it would be quicker for you to take the train from Manchester Airport to Liverpool but you could still take a coach to Liverpool.
You would be okay with "luggage bags" on both the train and coach. You won't get any help with your bags if you take the train, but if you take the coach the driver will help you to throw your bags into the luggage hold!
Then you'll still have to take a taxi from the city centre to Greenbank, which I assume is the uni halls off Smithdown Road.
Edited: 13 years agoJust remembered - there is Arriva bus route 699 which is the dedicated university bus route that goes from the city centre to the halls of residence so you wouldn't have to take a taxi; that's if I've got the right Greenbank ???
Yes exactly. Thanks a lot. I am sending my girl to the uni hotstel. Thanks anyway for your kind advise.
Thanks. So do you mean that if I were to take a train from Manchester Airport to Liverpool Station, I can then hop on to the bus to Greenbank uni hall?
That is correct.
It's bus 699 from the city centre.
Do you still need help finding accomodation?
If you are coming from Malaysia it may be difficult for you to look for somewhere to stay. I can look for somewhere for you to stay if you want me to.
Edited: 13 years agoThanks a lot. That's will be great. Just let me know what do you have in mind for me to consider. Cheers.
