Anfield and Goodison Park

Hii,

Am planning a day trip this winter to Liverpool for the first time. looking to be departing the earliest train from Euston London, and arriving in Liverpool Lime Station.

is it too ambitious if i wish to cover Albert Docks, Beatles Museum, Anfield and Goodison Park stadium in one day?

based on my limited googling, am not sure if can get it done in just a day. hope to hear of any tips or suggestion from fellow traveller.

budget - pretty tight.

When you get to Goodison and Anfield what are you planning to do? No problem location-wise as they are either side of Stanley Park but if nothing is open there's not a lot to see walking around the perimeter. In theory you can fulfil your itinerary in one long day.

They advise you spend 2 hours minimum at the Beatles Story - it's actually split between two sites at the Albert Dock and Pier Head.

And you can't go all that way without going to the Cavern Club and Mathew Street, so allow another hour for that.

If you go on the Anfield Stadium tour you need to book a time slot, you can't just turn up. The stadium tour takes about an hour, but then you can go into the museum which you would need another 45 mins to an hour to see properly. And then of course there is the LFC shop.

According to the Everton FC website: "We hold Stadium Tours around Goodison on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 11am and 1pm. Tours do not operate on a match day or on the afternoon before a first team home fixture. Booking is strongly advised."

I would allow at least 2 hours for Goodison Park.

I think you would be able to do the Beatles Story (and the Cavern), Anfield and Goodison in a day, but you would need to plan it carefully and use taxis to save time.

You don't mention what time u r heading back to London ???

However i would head To Anfield/goodison first

Book ur tour/musesm trip at Anfield first, pardon the pun theres more to see

I know for a fact if ur late u can reschedule the tour time to siut , allow 1 hour for the tour and 45-60 minutes for musesm

Then try and book woodison afterwards, after this head bac to Albrt Dock/Beatles musem

Alot depends on wat time ur return train to London is

Good luck & enjoy Liverpool

If it is a weekday (Mon - Fri) you may need to bear in mind that any train leaving London before 9am may be very expensive. Hence first reasonable cheap train may not arrive into Liverpool much before 11am.

Anything is doable..but the early trains out of Euston will be expensive...

Anfield has more to see and do than Goodison...

As Matt and others says, its how long you wanna spend at each

Would it not be possible to try and find a budget hotel, in the centre of Liverpool for one night? Then you could see so much more, without feeling too rushed.
