I am planning a trip to Scotland, and I would like to see both Loch Ness as well as the Quiraing. I was planning on flying into Inverness, is that my best option? if so do you have any suggestions on transport to Quiraing?

Unless you want to rent a car, You can Google The Hebridean Explorer and also check the reviews here on TA. They will pick you up at your hotel in Inverness and take you to Skye and back with whatever stops along the way you want. It will be a long 11-12 hour day.

Next week I will be flying into Inverness from California and then taking the Skye Scenic tours 4 day tour which picks you up at your B&B or hotel in Inverness and drops you off in Ft. William. I will report back on how it goes. They visit the Quirang and even go over to the isle of Lewis and Harris (Callanish Stone Circle). The price includes all transportation and your choice of hostel, B&B or Hotel and I think it is quite reasonable and they get great reviews. They are Listed under Portree here at Trip advisor.https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g551883-d3485200-Reviews-Skye_Scenic_Tours_Day_Tours-Portree_Isle_of_Skye_The_Hebrides_Scotland.html Their tours are limited to 8---so not quite private but a reasonable group size. I have been corresponding with them since Jan. and Claire could not be more delightful. The tour picks up on a Friday and drops off on a Monday in Ft. William. We are sending the night there and then going from there to Edinburgh by train. What I like is there is no backtracking. We are flying out of Glasgow---It was maybe $20 more to fly from here to Dublin to Inverness and then back from Glasgow to Dublin to home. Since I am not driving---a good way to see part of the country. I will definitely post back.

You can take train from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh: it's a very scenic route. You could possibly do a local car hire to get around Skye.
