Quieter spots in Bordeaux ?

We're in Bordeaux (central near the Cathedral). Finding it way too busy.Any suggestions for getting away from the crowds? We've not got a car so need to rely on public transport.

Which are good museums etc? What are best boat trips?

Any other suggestions?

This is unfortunate. Try Google vineyards and wine tasting in Bordeaux without a car.

There's no way on my upcoming trip to Bordeaux I am seeing a crowd..

The tourist office can sell you tickets for boat trips. The Jardin Public wasn't too busy for us.

Jardin Public. Parc Bordelais. Musée D'Aquitaine. Across the bridge to Jardin Botanique and the nice riverside walk. See the city from the other side. Take a tram out to Le Lac. Riverbus to Lormont.
