Public Garden

I’d this worth spending a few hours exploring. We are traveling with a 10 & 13 year old. Is there a theatre puppet show during the week. I have looked on the site but do not see any info thank you

Yes there are shows at 5 pm and I am guessing that school summer holidays are over, so performances are Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.

That web site also has some video information about how else to enjoy the public gardens. I am guessing your kids are too old to find the carousel much of a draw, but see what you think. We adults certainly appreciated the gardens’ shade, flora and fauna, and there were groups of schoolkids of all ages.

Having watched a Guignol puppet show in Lyon, I will suggest that you not expect to be able to follow the dialogue or plot.

Walking along the river bank park and visiting the Miroir d’Eau is highly recommended.
