Cap Corse

We are planning to drive the cap corse in late June on our last day from St Florent to Bastia where we will spend our last night! I know its clockwise, not anti clockwise but can't be helped.

How much time should we allow for this, do we need to have an early start, and what places are must sees? TIA

Hi,

You should calculate with ca. 4 hours in non-stop driving time - but I recommend to spend the whole day to allow for many stops.

- stop in Nonza (visit the Genoese tower)

- stop for a coffee and admire the view back towards the mountains of "mainland" Corsica from "Auberge au Chat qui Peche" a bit further north of Nonza

- if you need a swim make a small detour to Marine d'Albo which has a spectaclar beach with dark green pebbles. The beach will probably be mainly populated by cows which adds to the fun!

- stop for lunch in Centuri Port (famous for lobsters)

- if you are more into swimming from sandy beaches there will be lots of opportunities as you drive down along the east coast

- visit Erbalunga on the east coast

Enjoy Corsica.

Kind regards
