You need to get a guidebook on Paris, and also look at the "Paris trip ideas" on the right of this page. You can't expect some unpaid volunteer to write a detailed itinerary for you.

Try thinking about looking at sites rather then going inside if the weather is good.

Eiffel tower

River trip

Notre Dame cathedral (can be seen from the river as well)

Don't miss La Defense

You can try Louvre but an 8 year old may be bored.

Opposite the Eiffel Tower there is an area where people congregate overlooking the tower and sometimes street entertainers are there. Also look for inpromtu ball games played around.

Having had 3 children a lot of tourist stuff may be a bot boring though.
