Trip Plan

Planning a day visit next year. Given other comments on the forum, is the following plan feasible, or are there any admission restrictions? Other suggestions very welcome

King’s Apartment Tour - 9am approx

Walk from Palace to Bike Hire, end of the Grand Canal I believe

Hire Bikes & ride around gardens

Light Lunch

Go back and look around Palace and hopefully avoid crowds

Many thanks

As long as you check opening times on the palace website (and prebook tickets if you can) I don't see why you should have any problems. http://en.chateauversailles.fr/homepage

Almost perfect. After king/palace visit, the walk to the bike hire is the walk in gardens. Bikes are not allowed in the gardens.

The bike ride is basically around the canal, pause at the farthest end for view of the palace. That's 1 hour. Walk to hamlet visit next if not raining or tired or eating if the canal food is a zoo or you brought no picnic food from the town's center.

Then the TRI bus back to another train station if you want to see something else different in Paris.
