Trip to Rome during Holy Week 2014

I am planning a trip to Rome during Holy Week 2014. I know that the Pope gives public audiences on Wednesdays, however because of the Holy Week, do you know if this will be suspended or changed? I will be in Rome three days, Monday to Wednesday evening.

Normally, there are papal audiences in Holy Week, but it's too early to be sure for 2014. You can keep watching the papal calendar, on this site:

The schedule for next April probably won't appear until about 2 months before the date.

Enjoy your trip to Rome next Easter!

While waiting for the Pope's schedule to come out, also keep in mind that is a busy time in Rome and some planning as to what places are open or closed is a good idea. Here are some blogs from Easter 2012 and 2013:

These are all very good blogs and a good resource to check for up to date information as your trip approaches. Hope this helps!

It should be available but be sure to keep an eye on the Vatican website and book as soon as possible since tickets are free and run out quite fast!
