Cinque Terre organised tours

Hello

Can anyone recommend a good tour company that would provide tours of Cinque Terre from La Spezia?

Thanks

Why would you want a tour? There are frequent trains along the Cinque Terre which are easily taken. The sights are the villages and the landscape, and they do not need to be explained.

Thank you, would you recommend train over ferry, does it make a difference if you want to start at puerovenere and work back?

To visit Portovenere you have to use the feeryboat or the bus from la Spezia. To visit Cinque Terre you can choose train or ferry. At this link you may find timetable and other information

Train is quick; ferry is scenic. A mixture of both works well.

Thanks very much!

Any suggestions and how to break the trip up? Which bits for rail and which by boat? Also can you walk to La Spezia station from the port?

How many days do you have grinch99, this would make a difference.

If you have a couple of days, I would visit Portovenere by boat one day, weather permitting, as you have to go by boat or bus anyway. Then spend the next day by train visiting whichever villages you prefer, they are only a few minutes apart so you could get off at them all if you like, or pick a couple and spend time in them for a real feel of the charm of the Cinque Terre. You could also hike between two of the villages to break it up if that suits you.
