1. Re: Parking

Just for a day you could park either at Piazzale Roma or the Multi storey Tronchetto, Parking in Venice can be expensive,

Trains take no more than 55 minutes from Vicenza to Venice. See www.trenitalia.it for timetables. I suspect the train is quicker and cheaper than travelling by car given the high price of fuel and the difficulty of parking around Venice.

4. Re: Parking

The cheapest option for parking (5 euro)is across the street from the train station in Mestre. From there, the train into the Santa Lucia station in Venice is only 1 euro.

Marcia, is the parking at Mestre available for 24-36 hours? Approximate cost for that time? Park and Lock (or do you have to leave the key)? Secure? Thank you.

If you are just going to be there for the day, the cheapest place for parking is across the street from the train station in Mestre. Seems as tho it's only 5 euros or so to park for the day, and to then take the train into Venice. It's secure, and has a parking attendant. I don't remember if you have to leave a key. Hope I answered this in time for you, Steve, we've been traveling.
