What to see in Pisa besides Campo dei Miracoli

I'm trying to plan how much time to allow for Pisa and from what I can read in the guide books one day should be enough. They only mention the Campo dei Miracoli. Is there anything else or would a day trip from Lucca be enough time.

One day is enough although it is also nice in the evenings. The center about 5 minutes walk from the Campo is very nice too with some good shopping.

Guidebooks tend to mention only the Campo dei Miracoli. For more information: pisaunicaterra.it/en/…pisa-en.html

Doing Pisa as a day trip from Lucca is ideal. Lucca is a much more charming place to stay, Pisa is an easy bus or train ride away, and you can be back in Lucca for a great dinner.

There's also museums and churches in Pisa and numerous monuments and public squares that are worth taking in.

If you walk eastbound along the river bank towards Via Giacomo Matteotti you get to see some of the Roman Fort and get good views of the distant hills.

But yes you can see all the points of interest in a day.
