Travelling from Munich to Leoben

I will take a train from Munich to Leoben in couple of weeks. I am just wondering if I have to make a reservation since I already have a EU rail pass.

In Austria, as well as between Germany and Austria, you do not need a seat reservation at all, meaning it is not obligatory.

At peak times it could be hard to find vacant seats, but at most times it is not even necessary to reserve seats, especially for single travelers.
