There is no regular bus service to Capel -y- Ffin.
On Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays during the Summer (until 27th Sept) A special bus service for walkers runs down the Vale of Ewyas, called The Offa's Dyke Flyer. leaves Hay on Wye at 10.25 arrives Capel-y-Ffyn 10.55 returns from Capel-y-Ffyn 1.15 or 4.15. The bus will stop at any point if you hail them. Full details of the timetable can be found at wwwtravelbreconbeacons.info
Thanks so much. That's very helpful!
If the weather is good then do try the upper loop (6). The ridge is definitely a 'ridge' but the views are very nice/rewarding on both sides. Be wary of weather though as visibility on the path drops with mist/rain/low cloud cover.
