Luggage Deposit near Château-d'Oex train station

I will be travelling to Château-d'Oex from Geneva on 22 Jan 2017 for the international balloon festival. I am not going to stay overnight in Château-d'Oex but instead going to travel to interlaken in the late evening.

Is that any place in Château-d'Oex where I can deposit my luggage? So that I do not need to carry them around while I am walking around.

I tried http://www.sbb.ch/en/station-services/am-bahnhof/railway-stations/bahnhof-finden.posid.1394.html but seems like there is no locker or luggage left office.

There is a luggage office, as the SBB site clearly shows. What you also can do is just forward your luggage from Geneve (or the airport) to Interlaken.

The small stations on the MOB line generally do not have lockers. But their Luggage Offices will keep your bag(s) for a fee. I don't know what it is in Château d'Oex but in Saanen they ask 5frs/bag.

The SBB Luggage service is great. Suggest you do as Krist says and ship the bag(s) from Geneva main station to Interlaken that same morning. Get them to Geneva before 0930 and collect them after 1800. Geneva Luggage counter opens at 0900 on Sundays - if you need to get going before then, programme in enough time during your train change in Montreux and send it from there. You would have to check it in before 0900 in Montreux for same day collection and their counter opens at 0800 on Sundays. Since trains run every 30 mins between Geneva and Montreux just take a train 30 mins earlier than planned for the connection. That will give you plenty of time to check it in.

Enjoy the Balloon Festival. It is wonderful!

Thanks Krist and Hambagahle.

I initially saw Baggage Services stated in the SBB Site and thought it refers to luggage forward service. Seems like it actually means Luggage office. Thanks for enlightening me.

Think I will deposit my luggage in Château-d'Oex train station instead of the forwarding service. I checked the same day collection service and it costs CHF42 which sounds a little bit too expensive to me.

OK - but be aware that the station at Château d'Oex is small and the Balloon Festival extremely popular. There might be a lot of people wishing to leave bags there and they could run out of room...
