..the swimming pool aspect counts Lindos village itself out as no pools are allowed on account of a historical preservation order.. however, located above the village is a plateau area known as Krana...this is where most 2/3 star complexes/hotels with pools are located..there are many. Depending which property you choose it's anything from a 10 to 20 min walk down into Lindos village...there is a steep hill coming back up though which is doable, taxi''s can whizz u back up for a few Euros n during the day there is a shuttle bus...
...plus a few others
Just to add a couple of more accommodation at Krana that Mart missed out. Lindianmyth, lindos blue sky, elani. If you want to be in the village and go without a pool look at exclusivelylindos.com lots of accommodation. Beach 5 minutes walk from village. You can also use some pools up at krana just need to by some food or drinks. Waterside pool is open to all not connected to a complex it is just behind lindos main bus stop up at Krana.

Yes I normally stay in the village so everything is on your door step, bars restuarants supermarkets etc and no 20 minutes walk to town each night, beach 5 or so minutes down to lovely sandy beaches or 10 minutes up to waterside pool no getting up early to claim a sun lounger. Beds at waterside are free just spend some money up there on drinks. Beds on beach 5 euros each. Karen and her team at exclusivelylindos.com have lots of accommodation in the village and are a fully bonded company based in lindos during the summer months. Take a look at exclusivelylindos.com/ Facebook for reviews. Enjoy.
Just google accommodation in Lindos and you will find quite a few rooms being rented out by local Lindian people e.g Three Brothers - close to Main Square; Erato - very central; Stavros Studios - towards Rainbird Bar.
There are others, but my mind's gone blank. :)
There is also Booking.com, holidaylettings, trivago , expedia- just to name a few if you are thinking of going the independent route
To-op like Olympic provide basic clean rooms as well and also have a look at Thomas Cook. Thomson tend to do the Krana. area only.
A lovely terrace with sunloungers, screams Bakia and Helen to me but it isn't cheap. If you'd like something a bit more reasonable, Eleftheria has a fabulous terrace, no loungers but plenty of seating and great views. As already mentioned though, Karen and Exclusively Lindos team are a good source, for a first trip.Edited: 29 April 2018, 13:49
For my money if you want a/c and access to swimming, Avra is difficult to beat. Right on the beach, a few tavernas on the beach level if you don't want to walk up to the village every night. If you do go up to the village, it's all downhill when you are full of Kleftiko or Stifado.
Hoping to do a boat trip, looking for any recommendations and will also visit Rhodes Town.
Your accommodation is more near to pefkos then lindos. Pefkos I would say 20-25 lindos 30-35 That's walking steep hills to pefkos and the road to lindos mainly flat only pavement part of the way to lindos. Nothing much in the area of your accommodation.
