tourism spot around glenwood, btown and security of night bus

Hi, gentlemen expert of Sydney

I have booked hotel in glenwood,Blacktown for 2 days, where can I go other than blue mountains.

I thought I 've already chose a quiet place and rather difficult go around the city.

Is this area safe at night, drunken or drugs?

As I saw in some place in WA a guy drunken in side public bus at about 07.00 PM altough not make trouble.

Yes, like that never happens anywhere else in the world.

Why book a place in Glenwood ? You are 40km to central Sydney and 7km to nearest train station at Blacktown.

This is not the place to be for a tourist.

Well, you are definitely not going to be bothered by tourists. I have never heard of tourist staying in either of those locations. I suppose featherdale farm is about as close as you are going to get to a tourist attraction in that hood. Well, it is closer than the city, anyway.

Use common sense re safety. Weekend around clubs and pubs can be rowdy and certainly don't wander around there unless you want a drink or three as well.

Usually more sensible to research and area before you book the accom. Bit pointless doing it after.

And what on earth does a drunk guy in WA have to do with an outer burb of Sydney ? They are thousands of km apart.

I'm not joining the chorus, it's loud enough, but I would sing the same songs.

A place worth visiting relatively near your accommodation is Featherdale Wildlife Park. And that's about all.

A couple of things that may amuse:

Parklea Markets are nearby, I haven't been there myself though. They have mixed reviews on TripAdvisor.

If you are a public transport nerd then you would enjoy a bus ride on the NW T-Way that passes through the suburb.

Are you staying at a suburban B&B?

Do you have a car?

I never knew Glenwood was such a tourist mecca.

But anyhow, If you jump on a bus on Windsor Road, you can do a mini pub crawl to Ettamogah Pub, The Mean Fiddler & The Australian Brewery.

And there's Rouse Hill Shops.

Ok, OP please tell us why you picked those two locations, are you visiting family/friends? If not and you were told it is a good idea (from a friend/expert) then you will do well to reconsider and move your accommodation a lot closer to the city (or anywhere else that makes sense for a tourist to stay even if they want to be out of the "tourist traps").
