it is most likely a bit too far in advance at this time ..but would suggest that you email the Opera House and join their mailing list
It's a bit too early for shows next year.
But keep the following link and check every once in a while. It shows everything that will be on at the Opera House:
For the theatre/opera/symphony/ballet etc seasons the 2013 programs are usually released around about September if memory serves, but that's for subscribers. However the subscriber season information will tell you exactly when the public ticket sales will start. Public ticket sales are usually around December. Certainly by early January 2013 you should be able to get a good idea of what you can choose from.
Ticket release for one off shows varies and you're best advised to just watch the opera house website as advised above.

Thank you everyone. I will start watching their website in September.
Hi, what cruise are you going on?
End of March you may be able to catch the Opera Australia's Handa Opera on the Harbour.
Next year they are doing Carmen. It's an outdoor stage on Sydney Harbour with the Opera House and the Bridge as a backdrop.
La Traviata this year was brilliant.
Question for you. Do you purchase seats for sitting outside or how do you actually watch the production. Sounds interesting but I don't know is my husband would be up to opera. I did get him to the Marinsky Ballet, but opera????
