Barrier Reef Tour Advice

Hi we a group of 11 adults and kids planning to see the GBR for a day in July. Some of us want to snorkel while the others can't swim but would still like to see the GBR. What's the best company to go with so that we can all go together?

Quicksilver from Port Douglas or Reef Magic from Cairns

We did Quicksilver in April. Neither my wife nor I are big swimmers. With Quicksilver, you are taken to a pontoon and there are other activities than snorkeling or diving. You can go in a semi-submersible and take a tour of the reef and also go in the underwater observatory. They do a marine biology presentation on the boat ride out there and there is plenty of shade. I believe we stayed on the pontoon for about 3.5 hours.

Agree with Quicksilver from PD. We are also going at the end of June and there are 6 kids in our party. We are going with Quicksilver.

Quicksilver would be good for you group as at least it gets those who will snorkel to the outer reef.
