I wouldn't do separate day trips to Freycinet, Sorrell and Tasman Peninsula. Have you tried mapping out your itinerary?

It looks like a good, interesting itinerary.

There's a quite good cafe in Lilydale to get lunch on Day 2.

On the way to Cradle Mountain, options for lunch include Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm Cafe near Deloraine, Deloraine Deli or the cafe in the old pub at Mole Creek.

For Devils@Cradle, we'll be into the summer routine by then so there should be two late feedings, but I'd aim to be there for 5 30 anyway: www.devilsatcradle.com/content.php…

Thanks Mac M for advice. Did the mapping and decided to tweak the itinerary merging Day 8 & 9. Think we can do all that first as a Day trip and return to Hobart.

Day 8 no plans yet :(

Day 9 check out of Hobart. Drive towards Freycinet & on the see Swansea, spiky bridge, Coles Bay Wineglass Bay. spend the night at Coles Bay. (??? Still sourcing)

Day 10 hang around beach. Maybe Golf. Check out

Find some food in town (???) on drive back to Hobart airport for depart at 6pm

Thanks Luigi A.

Noted lunch options at Cradle mountain. Christmas Hills look fabulous. By the way, what's a good estimate of the cost of a meal?

And would seeing Devils @ Cradle be similar to Bonorong Wildlife park?

Thanks for All your previous feedback :)

Christmas Hills's menu is here: http://raspberryfarmcafe.com/menu/

Devils@Cradle is somewhat similar to Bonorong in that it has devils, but it's much smaller and more intimate. It's also an indoor event rather than an expansive outdoor park.

Instead of day trips on days 7,8,9 it might be better (less driving) to stay overnight at Freycinet then the next night at the Tasman Peninsula. You could then include the Tasman Island Cruise, maybe the Ghost Tour in the evening at Port Arthur and then have a day in Hobart the day you fly hoe. Maybe visit the Sorell fruit farm on the way back to Hobart and if the weather;s good, Mount Wellington on your last day.

Thanks Jill M for your feedback. Yes intended to visit mount Wellington when in Hobart. Not sure how I missed it out when typing the itinerary. Thanks for reminder. Will probably keep coles Bay and freycinet for last day because we thought good way for round up the trip with this much talk about beautiful place.

As for now, I realised the Curringa Farm stay doesn't include farm tour. Hence, with accommodation, BBQ dinner that is (cook-it-yourself) and farm tour, the cost came up to AUD1000, which I thought is on high side. So, having second thoughts and some questions:

1) Could anyone advise whether we should go ahead?

2) In fact we have booked directly with Curringa farm on its website but are unable to find option to cancel booking.

Will cancellation incur charges for us since there is still 2.5 months from date of stay?

3) are there alternative recommended farms stay and farm tours?

Curringa Farm is the biggest farmstay business in tasmania. There are others listed here: https:/…Farm.Stays.html

I think that one night at Curringa Farm would be enough, and the cost would then be far more manageable.

Their cancellation policy is stated at the bottom of the booking page:

"Thank you for your booking and payment. We consider $110 or 25% ( whichever is less) of your booking fee as a non refundable secure deposit for your booking. We allow changes of dates up until 14 days out from your booked arrival date. If you cancel within 14 to 2 days of booking arrival date we will retain 50% of your booking fee. If you cancel within 48 hours of booking or do not show up we will retain 100% of your booking fee."
