MotoGP at Phillip Island 2013

Hi we are coming to the MotoGP in a couple of weeks, we are then staying on to drive the GOR, our itinerary is pretty much sorted but am looking for information for some interesting places to stop off at on route. We are flying into Melbourne, stopping 2/3 nights picking a hire car up to travel to P.I, when racing is over, which is the best way to get onto GOR, then the plan is:- Day 1 drive to Apollo Bay (depending how far) need to research that yet, Day 2 Port Fairy, (again depending how long) and Day 3 Robe and finally ending in Adelaide, from there onwards everything pretty well sorted.

Any information would be appreciated

Thanking you in advance :-)

If you have already seen Melbourne before the GP, travel from PI to Sorrento through the Mornington Peninsula and catch the Seaferry across to Queenscliff, then follow the road along the coast to the GOR.

That should give you lots of choices...
