Touring the White House Question?

I have read that you can't take your purse or water bottle in on the tour. What do you do with them. We aren't staying close by.

Thanks

There is no answer to your question. If it is later in the day, the Smithsonian museums have some lockers. Or one part of your party can hold stuff while the rest go on the tour. Or you just have to leave it at your hotel.

The American History Museum is about 5 blocks away from the White House. It doesn't open until 10 AM and many people have tours of the White House before then. The Natural History Museum is further away with the same opening hour. There is also a place to store things at Union Station, but that is much further away and costs money.
