Arenal to Corcovado, stopover for one night

Hi guys,

After spending a week in Monteverde and Arenal, my husband and I are going to drive to Bosque del Cabo in Corcovado. Where would you recommend we should stay the night to break the drive?

It's our first trip to Costa Rica. We like nature, beautiful views, going on hikes.

We are going in the beginning of January. I was thinking Manuel Antonio, but not sure if it's a good idea. Also, the idea of crowds inside the park doesn't sound appealing.

I looked into flying from SJO to Puerto Jimenez, but ruled it out due to unreliability of Sansa and possibility of flight cancelation.

Thank you in advance for all the suggestions!

If just 1 night I’d look into any of the hilltop lodges between Dominical & Uvita. Gorgeous views of the coastline and Whales Tail is worth a visit if the low tide times work with your schedule. We’ve stayed at Pacific Edge, Oxygen Jungle Villas and Villas Alturas. The latter 2 have restaurants onsite.
